PREA Refreshers are a customizable training tool that facilities can use to enhance the existing staff knowledge of the PREA standards and implementation.
Created in collaboration with Just Detention International (JDI), PREA Refreshers are one-page handouts that provide concrete guidance for staff on their roles and responsibilities. These documents are designed to be downloaded and edited to fit the needs of your individual facility. There are a total of 13 PREA Refreshers each for prisons and jails, community confinement, and juvenile facilities.
JDI has also produced a training video and User Guide on how to best use and customize the PREA Refreshers. Watch the training video and download the User Guide linked below to get started.
