NM Prison Inmates to be Required to View New 'Rape Prevention' Video.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico officials have released a new
video aimed at helping prisoners avoid rape and sexual assaults.
The New Mexico Corrections Department recently announced that all
incoming inmates will be required to watch a new video on ways
they can avoid sexual assaults while incarcerated. The video, which
will also be required viewing for current inmates, gives tips on
preventing rape, including staying away from gambling and avoid
flirting with guards.

Cristina Rodda, a spokeswoman for the New Mexico Corrections
Department, said the new video comes in preparation for new
federal guidelines for state prisons in preventing rape.
The Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque is the first
county detention facility to adopt the new program.
There are around 6,600 inmates in New Mexico prisons.
