This website fulfills the Attorney General’s statutory requirement under the Justice for All Reauthorization Act (JFARA) of 2016 to make final PREA audit reports for confinement facilities under the operational control of states’ and territories’ executive branch publicly available on a website. Visitors to this site can link directly to final PREA audit reports for facilities that are under governors’ operational control and have received a PREA audit. Additionally, this website is structured so that visitors can determine what each state, territory, and the District of Columbia submitted (i.e., Certification, Assurance, or neither) to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for each PREA Audit Year. This site will be updated annually to include links to new PREA audit reports, and to reflect the most recent Certification and Assurance submissions to DOJ.
