During this webinar, we cover PREA Standard 115.86 Sexual Abuse Incident Reviews. The sexual abuse incident review, which is conducted at the conclusion of every substantiated and unsubstantiated sexual abuse investigation, is intended to evaluate whether any changes in policy or practice at the facility need to be made in light of the alleged incident. The incident review process is intended to allow the facility to identify systemic problems in policies, practices, dynamics, physical barriers, staffing levels, and monitoring that may have contributed to an incident or allegation of sexual abuse, so that the facility can improve conditions to avoid future incidents or allegations.
We encourage you to invite your colleagues to join the discussion and use it as an opportunity for ongoing education. Our featured presenters will be Kayla Houser, Senior Program Manager (PRC) and Maren Arbach, Program Manager (PRC).
