Education of people in custody is part of sexual abuse prevention. In order to make sure they know their rights, people need to be engaged, and there is an ongoing need for creative content. These new PREA education videos were developed by our PRC partners Just Detention International (JDI) and 5ive to help adult and juvenile facilities meet the PREA education requirements of the US Department of Justice’s National Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Prison Rape (§115.33 and §115.333). Through the use of graphics and animation the developers have created videos like nothing currently in use and are guaranteed to grab people’s attention.
These videos are available for download free of charge and in multiple versions including adult and juvenile, intake and comprehensive education, and multiple languages.
