Carla is currently the PREA Coordinator for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. Prior to this position, Carla was a Compliance Officer/PREA Compliance Manager at the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility in Mart, Texas, a facility of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. Through her coordination and guidance, the facility did successfully achieve PREA compliance including receiving four exceeding standard ratings. She has also assisted in auditing nine (9) juvenile detention facilities in Texas since 2016. Carla has been employed with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department for twelve years.
Lawrence has over 32+ years of leadership experience in the juvenile justice and residential treatment field. Operational experience includes the delivery and oversight of treatment, security, staff training, education, health, safety, and data collection in 50+ programs throughout 14 different States. Administrative experience also includes the daily management of agency Human Resources and Risk Management departments, Lawrence has a successful track record in preparing agencies for accreditation, licensing, regulation, and contract compliance audits. Following audits, he can develop, train, and monitor corrective action plans.
Amanda is currently the Director of PREA Compliance for the West Virginia Division of Corrections & Rehabilitation. She has has worked in the PREA Department 2016. Previously, she ran the Division's Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program and has been working for Corrections since 2008.
Carrie Stanley has worked in a variety of correctional settings including juvenile halls, adult prisons, community corrections, and a large jail network. In addition, she has worked has a probation officer and probation and parole agent. She has 24 years of experience in the criminal justice field. Currently she works for a state DOC with comprehensive case management and classification.
