Tyson is a deputy county counsel for the Los Angeles County Counsel's Office. He has been with the office since 2012. He is assigned as the point person for the Los Angeles County PREA Implementation Team assisting both the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the Probation Department implement the PREA Standards throughout its adult and juvenile facilities. He also trains on PREA, SOGIE, and other topics.

Barbie Melendez currently serves as the Director of Public Accountability & Oversight at the New York City Board of Correction, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the correctional field. Her areas of expertise include oversight and accountability, sexual safety, policy analysis, crisis management, legislative implementation, data collection, investigations, evaluations, and the development of actionable recommendations and policies.

Prior to her work at the Board of Correction, Barbie held various roles at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, including Correctional Officer, Correctional Sergeant, and Correctional Case Manager.

A native of the Bronx and bilingual in Spanish, Barbie is a U.S. Army Veteran. During her military service, she was stationed in several locations, including a deployment in support of a Joint Task Force at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

She holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Diana is a Certified DOJ Auditor and Consultant with extensive experience as an investigatigator. She specializes in providing training, conducting interviews, collecting and analyzing data, documenting findings, and preparing comprehensive reports. Diana collaborates closely with clients to develop customized strategies that meet their specific goals.

With over 39 years of experience in the field, Diana has worked with and has provided training to agencies throughout the United States. Her expertise is in equipping investigators with the knowledge of the PREA Standards and investigative procedures necessary to conduct thorough and proper investigations. As a retired PREA Coordinator from the Minnesota Department of Corrections, she possesses a deep understanding of correctional practices.

Brenda is currently working at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in Reno, Nevada and has been with the department for 23 years. She has been the PREA Coordinator since April 2014. She also holds the position of Inmate Classification Specialist in the Inmate Management Unit.

Dr. Dawn Landers, Psy.D.: Dawn is an Assistant Psychology Director and Licensed Psychologist for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI DOC) working with adult males. She has worked as Psychologist Supervisor, Licensed Psychologist, and Psychological Associate for the WI DOC for 19 years working in all custody levels within the adult male WI DOC. She has served as a PREA Compliance Manager, Victim Services Coordinator, Risk Assessment Screener, and PREA Investigator while working for the WI DOC.

David is currently a PREA Compliance Administrator for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and has been with the department for 23 years. He is also a United States Navy Veteran.
