Collaborating Organizations

The PRC is a cooperative effort of a broad coalition of organizations with expertise and resources in the fields of corrections, law enforcement, victim’s services, and sexual assault prevention and response. The involvement of these organizations varies, from advising staff on the needs of the field to integrating their expertise as services offered by the PRC. Many partner organizations are providing training and technical assistance in the field, and we rely on the networks of professional associations and nonprofit organizations to disseminate critical information to their membership and supporters. The PRC will bring information and training to annual conferences and meetings through the support of these organizations. In addition, some organizations and individuals are participating as members of task groups and/or advisory groups as determined by Impact Justice and BJA.

The PRC Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Task Group, comprised of the PRC's TTA providers, includes American Jail Association (AJA); American University Washington College of Law, Project on Addressing Prison Rape; International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP); Just Detention International (JDI); National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD); The Moss Group (TMG); and the Vera Institute of Justice (Vera).

The PRC Audit Work Group, which contributed to the PRC's tasks related to auditor tools and trainings, includes Abt Associates, American Correctional Association (ACA), and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC).

The PRC Communications Advisory Group, which provides input on the PRC's communication and outreach strategies, includes the American Catholic Correctional Chaplains Association (ACCCA)American Civil Liberties Union National Prison Project, American Correctional Association (ACA), American Jail Association (AJA), American Probation and Parole Association (APPA), Association of State Correctional Administrators, Campaign for Youth Justice, Center for Black Equity, Center for Children’s Law and Policy, Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators (CJCA), Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), Indiana Sheriff's Association, International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology, International Association of Chiefs of PoliceInternational Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN),  International Community Corrections Association, Just Detention International (JDI), National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), National Partnership for Juvenile Services (NPJS), National Sheriff’s Association (NSA), as well as several federal partners and PRC Communications Advisors Patricia L.
