Former inmate sues Albany County over alleged groping, sexual harassment by guard

A woman who was held at Albany County jail for three months last year has filed a federal lawsuit against the county and the correction officer who she claims sexually abused her at the facility.

The correction officer, Michael Snyder, has been suspended without pay since last March, when he was arrested on charges of raping and sexually abusing other female inmates.
