Developing Facility-Level Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs)

This new webinar, which is being presented jointly by Just Detention International and the National PREA Resource Center, will provide corrections officials with practical guidance on how to create a coordinated response to sexual abuse victims within their institutions. This webinar will cover the basics of how to build a facility-level sexual assault response team (SART), including how to get started; who should be involved; and how to develop a SART protocol. It will also address basic tasks of the SART, including conducting incident reviews. The information provided will be broadly applicable to all types of facilities covered by the PREA standards, including prisons, jails, community corrections and juvenile justice facilities.
