Chatham Sheriff’s Office deputy sentenced for 2016 sexual assault of inmate

Former Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Samuel Joshua Richardson was sentenced today for charges of sexual assault by a person with a supervisory or disciplinary authority, a felony offense, after he was found to be having inappropriate sexual contact with a female, Chatham County inmate in 2016. He was sentenced to two years of jail time.
