Darla is the founder of Strategic Justice Solutions, where she continues her passion for criminal justice reform by assisting community confinement facilities in navigating the unique challenges of their custodial populations.
Her expertise is built on 31 years of experience as the founding Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Community Transition and Treatment Center (Ecumenical House), a co-correctional, residential reentry program contracted through the Bureau of Prisons.
During her tenure, she developed and implemented programs that successfully reintegrated individuals into the community. Beyond her executive leadership, Darla is a certified PREA auditor, lending her expertise to institutions at all levels. She is also a certified Safe Zone trainer and a graduate of the Reformation Project Leadership Cohort training, reflecting her commitment to addressing LGBTQI+ issues and policies within the criminal justice system.
