This webinar, the first of a two-part series, guides jail officials, step-by-step, through the process of building programs for responding to inmate survivors of sexual abuse in jails. Part I will explain how the new PREA standards can be used as a tool for delivering victim services effectively. The training focuses on the role of community-based rape crisis advocates in providing these services and the benefits of early intervention. The webinar draws on the experiences of sexual abuse survivors behind bars to demonstrate to officials how to respond to instances of sexual abuse in a manner consistent with the PREA Standards.
