The Prison Rape Elimination Act standards are an historic achievement that have dramatically increased the potential to end the crisis of sexual assault in detention. For victim advocates, the standards will mean more opportunities to expand services through better access to resources and the chance to build new partnerships.

In this webinar led by a panel of experts, advocates learn how to use the standards as a tool to develop and expand their work with survivors. The webinar also features survivors talking about their experiences behind bars and about their own role as advocates.

Who Should Attend:
Rape crisis community centers and state sexual assault coalitions, victims’ services and nonprofit organizations. Other entities that may benefit from this webinar include local and state correctional agencies; social and human services, criminal justice and correctional nongovernmental organizations; and governmental health, social, human services, and criminal justice funding agencies.
