Resolution Creating Commission to Study Sexual Misconduct in State Correctional Facilities Passes Legislature

(TRENTON) — In response to a disturbing report revealing the prevalence of sexual abuse in one New Jersey prison, three Democratic legislators sponsor a resolution to create a commission to study sexual assault, misconduct and harassment by staff against inmates in State correctional facilities. After unanimously passing the Senate on May 14, the resolution unanimously passed the full Assembly Thursday.
